Village by the sea chapter 4

Biju’s boat was nearly ready to go out onto the wide open sea until a strange man told him that if he wanted to catch some fish he would have to go at least 50 miles out from the main land as there is no fish around the main land. The strange man who the found out that he worked on the factories that are being built that they would have to sell their land so that there is enough space for the factories and they could not do anything about it he also said if they were to get a job in one of the factories they would get paid little and will be treated a piece of dirt on the ground. When Hari got back from getting the ice for his mother he found his sisters crying because their dog pinto had been poisoned and the girls strongly believe that it was one of the brothers from next door who had trended to kill their dog if their dad did not pay him for the toddy.

Hari didn’t know that Biju’s boat was ready to be launched as he was away with the men of the village who had gone to Bombay to make an agreement about not having to lose their land. Whilst at Thul Biju’s boat was waiting for the tide to come up and launch the boat but before that happened Biju’s wife had decorated the boat in bright colors and colorful patterns. The tide that Biju was waiting for didn’t come up high enough to launch the boat so they were told to do it manually but the kept trying again and again . They were trying for many day and it finally launched in to the water but Hari had forgotten about the boat and trying to get a job in the factories when he was in Bombay. Hari was on his way to Rewas and he was waiting by the high way for about an hour when he realized he had missed the bus. When Hari got to Rewas they had to take a 14 kilometer boat trip to Bombay. Hari was thinking to himself was this a good thing or a bad thing.

Hari was very thirsty, he went to a coconut seller, he gave him a cheap one to drink from. Hari learned from the conversation with the man, he told him that he has to give up from his mission. Hari knew that this seller is a professional killer, from another beggar. Hari started to be scared and afraid. Hari saw a rich family on the beach, they let him remember of the "da silvas", he remembered the address, so he went to that address, he actually realized that he can go to get a job. Unfortunately, The family went to Thul. He feels lonely and alone without a home. The watchman saw Hari homeless without food, so he offered him to stay at his friend's restaurant. The owner of the restaurant is called Jagu. Hari ate and then slept.
